Division

It's an odd experience to feel two opposing emotions at once. The expression of two seemingly real desires, both wanting attention and acceptance.

I've decided which feeling will guide my next action; the feeling that leads to the most beneficial outcome. Yet still within, although the choice has been made, something inside remains un-settled. Disappointment lingers. Like opposing teams something inside mourns it's loss while it's opponent rejoices a victory; where is the balance. Swami Satchidananda says equanimity of mind is yoga. Now I see; although the mind is restless in its wants there are times when the perfect action is to deliberately deny it what it desires to make room for what it needs.
